Setup

  1. Grab 6-7 beers

    On average you will use between 6 and 7 beers during a power hour. It all varies based on how full you pour your shots.

  2. And a shot glass

    Each participant needs their own shot glass, which will be used a total of 60 times over the course of the drinking game.

  3. Pour your first shot

    Fill your shot glass up with beer, choose a power hour mix from our wide selection of themes and genres, and click play.

Rules

Start the music, and drink every 60 seconds. Typically a mix will indicate when it's time to drink by both changing the song and by playing a sound byte (our mixes typically include an LMFAO sample "shots shots shots" to indicate when it's time to drink). The game ends when the music stops!

What a year for rap. Screaming "Gucci Gang" 50 times on a track is enough to become famous online, as long as you're willing to get a face tattoo and die your hair! Who knew! But in all seriousness, what backchannels like the internet are really doing is showing that the mainstream ways of determining who is and isn't famous musician such as radio and television no longer exclusively dictate who younger generations listen to and follow. I personally love YouTube so I'm all for decentralizing the long dominant media channels in favor of Google algorithms telling us who to like (bad tech joke).

The 2017 rap power hour features hits from Drake, Migos, G-Eazy, Big Sean, French Montana, Chris Brown, Future, Kendrick Lamar, oh yeah and that Cardi B chick who exploded onto the scene and dominated the year (not to be confused with Platboi Carti who is also featured towards the end of the mix). Kick back, relax, and get ready to consume a lot of beer.
