Summary

Contrary to its title, the Three Man drinking game can be played with any number of people, and the title of three man is passed from player to player based on a throw of a pair of dice. Drinks are passed out based on dice combinations after throws.

Setup

The setup for this drinking game involves taking turns rolling a single die until a player rolls a three, making him the first three man. Then both dice are in play, and the game begins.

Rules

This is a relatively simple drinking game, where drinks are taken or given based on dice rolls. There's also room for improvising rules based on dice-throw combinations. A turn consists of throwing both dice, and ends after the person who drinks as a result of the dice combination consumes their alcohol.

The basic roll result (combination of both die) rules are:

• 3: The three man drinks
• 6: When a combination totaling 6 is thrown (the highest odds), EVERYONE drinks!
• 7: Whoever is sitting to the right of the roller takes a drink
• 9: The person sitting across from the roller drinks (if 2 people, both drink)
• 11: Whoever is sitting left of the roller takes a drink of their alcohol beverage

There are also specific special dice combinations that have special rules associated with them:

• 4 & 1: When this is rolled, the roller becomes the "Thumb Master", and can place their thumb on the table at any time, causing everyone else to race to put their thumb on the table as well, with the last person to do so having to drink. Thumb master changes each time 4 & 1 are thrown.
• Doubles: If doubles are rolled, the roller chooses who will then throw the dice and have to either roll doubles or suffer a pre-determined penalty (usually take a shot of liquor or shotgun a beer suffices, or even stripping a piece of clothing) to enhance the game.
