Setup

Start a game mode of your choosing and let the action begin! You can either pick the first player by chance or ask who wants to go first. From there on out, play as you normally would and make sure to stick to the rules we're about to outline below.

Rules

You'll be playing using one controller. Every time you start a new life, you'll be passing it to someone else. Upon meeting certain criteria, accomplishing pre-defined tasks, or triggering specific events, you'll be taking a drink. As you can imagine, failing also counts!

Anyone who joins in has the freedom to pick whichever character they want to play. Although this is a casual drinking game, you still want to do your best to bring your A-game to the table and help your team secure the victory. Bear in mind that, on certain occasions, you can make other players drink based on your actions.

Basic events and triggers:

  • If you die, you're obligated to take a drink.
  • At any time your enemy fulfills one of their objectives (such as reaching a checkpoint or capturing a point), you must take a drink.
  • If one of your team members completes an objective or reaches a checkpoint, every other person in the room must take a drink.
  • Upon eliminating an opposing team member, every other person must take a drink.

These are the basic rules. But we're not done yet! To keep things interesting, you'll also be doing the following upon dying in game:

  • Met your demise at the hands of the same character you're playing yourself? Take another drink.
  • Failed to kill an opposing team member during your turn? Take another drink.
  • Failed to complete a single objective during your turn? Take another drink.
  • Fallen to your death by flying off the stage? Take another drink.
  • Killed by Hanzo? Take another drink.
  • Did your team lose? Guzzle the rest of your drink!

Feel free to tweak the remainder of the rules to your likes and preferences. To get your imagination going, be sure to follow the latest eSports news to see what characters are popular at the moment. For instance, you could set a rule to take two drinks if you lose to the worst character. Alternatively, you could take two if you score a kill while playing as the top performer.

Last but not least, don't forget to enjoy the game and drink responsibly!

As always, please remember to drink responsibly! This alcohol drinking game is not meant to lead to you becoming sick due to over-consumption of alcohol. Need a sober ride?
