Summary

The Happy Ninja Star Drink Fun Time drinking game is an original game from a different drinking game website, but it sounded like whoever created it had put enough time and effort into it that it might be worth hosting here (let me know if you disagree in the comments). Drinks are decided by the face value of cards thrown (literally, thrown)... so long as they land face-up.

Equipment

• 1 Deck of cards
• Drink of choice

Setup

All players take a seat around a table and choose a dealer. Then, deal all the cards out, face down.

Rules

The Happy Ninja Start Drink Fun Time drinking game rules are not terribly hard to grasp, so give this game a shot. This is a unique card game in that unlike most, it involves tying an element of skill into physically throwing cards like ninja stars, attempting to get them to land face up.

Someone starts the game by taking one of their face down cards (no one should know what the card is until it's thrown) and throwing it like a ninja star onto the table. If it lands face down or falls off the table, the thrower takes a one drink penalty. If it lands face up, the next player must throw their card onto the table face up, or drink half the value of the card thrown face up by the prior player.

If a card thrown lands face up and is greater than ten, special rules apply:

• Jack: Social - everyone drinks
• Queen: Thumb Rule - everyone puts their thumbs on the table as quickly as possible, last person to do so drinks
• King: Waterfall - Everyone drinks at the same time, and can't stop until the player to their right stops, and the first person allowed to stop is the player that threw the King.
• Ace: You're encouraged to come up with a special rule for Aces, or count them as one

There are a few other drinking game rules as well, such as that if two cards are thrown in a row that land face up, and they are the same number, everyone shouts "Happy Ninja Start Drink Fun Time!" out loud, and the last person to catch on drinks the full amount of the matching cards. Also, when the last card is thrown, if it lands face up everyone except the thrower drinks.
