4 CS2 Weapons You Shouldn't Sleep On: How to Use Them

This page reveals 4 unpopular CS2 weapons that are secretly useful in competitive matches. Learn what these guns are and how to apply them.

4 Underrated CS2 Weapons You Are Not Using in Your Matches

What are your most used CS2 weapons? If your answer is M4A1, AK-47, Desert Eagle, and AWP, you're not different from other players. But you can easily become one. On this page, we'll share with you 4 CS2 weapons that aren't only unpopular but also terrifyingly underrated.

However, don't expect to become a more effective player with these weapons alone. You also need a comfortable config. CS2 donk settings explained at Farmskins might help you. This player has won around $200,000 using these settings, so they will definitely become useful in your competitive matches.

Negev

For just $1,700, you receive a deadly machine gun capable of time-winning suppression fire. It's useful for CT. When you're expecting a terrorist rush from a certain angle, just spill out your entire mag into an anticipated pathway. This is most effective in narrow spaces like long doors on Dust 2.

What if the pathway is wide? Use smokes. They cover a large area, allowing you to spray the entirety of it with your Negev. You might use that tactic near the B plant on Dust 2 as terrorists move out of the upper B tunnels into a bomb site.

Negev isn't a perfect weapon. Its biggest drawback is a mobility penalty. While holding this heavy machine gun, you're moving slower than with any other gun, which makes you an easy target. You're even slower when you shoot. You can fix this downside by learning to switch the weapon at the right time, taking covered positions, and managing your shooting time correctly.

Another Negev weak point is a frantic spray pattern. However, this is not a problem with your first 15 bullets, as they are simply heading up and right. But for extended shooting, you'll have to memorize and train a spray pattern in practice lobbies.

Dual Berettas

These pistols may cause your enemies lots of trouble, especially in close combat. It's the most comfortable shooting distance for Berettas due to their high rate of fire and uncontrollable spray.

Obviously, Berettas aren't a strong competitor against rifles. Pick these pistols in the first rounds. When using them, engage only in close combat fights, which requires you to choose the correct attack/defense angles.

Dual Berettas are better for CT. Their $300 price allows a player to pick up defuse kits in the first round. It gives a team a bigger outplay potential and more chances to win the first round, taking tempo.

To drawbacks. The biggest disadvantage of Berettas is a reload speed of 3.77 seconds. Sure, these pistols have 30 rounds in mage. But when they run out, you must hide and reload for a long time. Knowledgeable enemies will use that against you.

MP7

We couldn't complete this list without a farm gun. In our opinion, MP7 is one of the best for a few reasons. The first is accuracy in movement. It makes MP7 amazing for eco rushes, as you can easily hit 8 out of 10 of your bullets when entering a position.

Of course, such accuracy is useless if you're not in a close-medium range. Overall, MP7 is bad for long-range shooting. The only way to utilize this gun in such conditions is to tap shot or burst.

However, both shooting styles aren't deadly. Therefore, we recommend you pair the MP7 with a long-range secondary weapon like a Desert Eagle. But do this mindfully. If you know that your current round's task is to plant a bomb at the lowest price, MP7 alone will be enough.

SCAR-20/G3SG1

Do you think that AWP is the only existing high-budget CS2 sniper rifle? Then, we have bad news for you. You've been ignoring the easiest and the most effective weapon to hold pathways from afar.

SCAR-20 and G3SG1 are automatic. To shoot them, you can literally hold your left mouse button. Many say it's for noobs. Indeed, such a shooting pace is easier than long AWP reloads. Still, auto sniper rifles aren't perfect, as they require 2 body shots to kill.

SCAR-20 and G3SG1 penetrate wooden surfaces. Therefore, it's best to utilize them where enemies hide behind doors or crates. If you know the enemy is in ambush, attend shooting him through his cover.

Another auto sniper advantage we can't ignore is hip fire. If you're good at it, you will be able to burst down enemies quicker, especially if you shoot their heads.
