3 Casino Signature Cocktails to Sip While Playing

Drinking games are a testament to how great alcohol and entertainment go together. But there's one more thing that shows this inherent connection: casinos.

These flashy resorts are massive entertainment hubs that, although focused on gambling, provide their visitors with everything from fine dining to unique and delicious drinks.

You don't have to fly to Vegas to enjoy some drinking and gambling. You can always play online roulette while you mix up some of these top-notch Vegas cocktail recipes.

The Original Margarita (The Flamingo)

Flamingo Las Vegas may not be as famous as the Bellagio or the Venetian but it's still a place worth visiting. This is especially true because it is the place where the original Margarita was invented. Or this is what one of the cocktail's many origin stories say.

To mix a margarita, you'll need two parts tequila, one part Cointreau, one part fresh lime juice, and a shaker. Shake the ingredients with ice, then pour them into a glass - you can even salt the rim of the glass for the complete tequila experience.

For extra points, you can even garnish the glass with a slice of lime.

Mint Julep (Mint Las Vegas)

Do they serve mint juleps at the Mint Las Vegas? We're not entirely sure - but if we were in their shoes, we certainly would. What better signature cocktail than one that has your resort's name? It's a natural pun that would be a shame to waste. The Mint has quite the resume, having been featured in Elvis Presley's "Viva Las Vegas", a James Bond movie, and a U2 video.

Let's get back to drinking, though.

To mix a mint julep, you'll need a dozen fresh mint leaves, 1 part simple syrup, 4 parts Bourbon, and crushed ice. Muddle the mint leaves with the syrup in a glass, then fill with the crushed ice. Pour the bourbon over it, and stir until it becomes frosty. Garnish with a mint stalk for extra credit.

Negroni (Bellagio)

As the Bellagio is one of the signature resorts in Las Vegas, the Negroni is one of the signature drinks of the casino. And it's freaking delicious, too. It's a mix of bitter and sweet ingredients with just a touch of citrusy goodness.

Although it does share a name with countless Corsican individuals (including a count that allegedly invented it), it's probably a fully American drink. It's a mix of one part gin, one part Campari, and one part sweet vermouth, stirred, not mixed, and served over ice with a twist of orange peel.

What's it going to be? A glass of refreshing Margarita while playing online roulette?A mint julep, perhaps while watching "Viva Las Vegas"? Perhaps a Negroni while feeling like playing at the Bellagio? Which combination will you use to redefine the "drinking game" today?
