Summary

Lets be honest: alcohol makes just about anything more fun. World of Warcraft is no exception, especially with what a cakewalk Blizzard has turned it into since Catalysm was released. The World of Warcraft Drinking Game will be broken down for both aspects of the global sensation: a Player vs Environment (PvE) Drinking Game and a Player vs Player (PvP) Drinking Game.

Equipment

Setup

PvE:
Join a 5, 10, or 25 man raid. Get your alcohol ready, but due to the length of time it can sometimes take to clear trash, make sure you keep it cold.

PvP:
Get a group together for Arenas, RBGs, or prepare yourself for a good ol' Random Battleground Drinking Game. The more the merrier, so we suggest grouping with as many willing participants of legal drinking age as possible!

Rules

PvE:
The World of Warcraft PvE Drinking Game is simple, but guaranteed to make the monotony that raiding/PvE grinding has become A LOT more fun. Drink when any of the following occurs:

  • (1) Beer For each piece of look you get! (half a beer for 5 man dungeons)
  • (1) Beer Each time a raid boss is killed /roll & call odds or evens (half a beer for 5 man bosses)
  • (1) Shot Any time your group wipes
  • (1) Shot After you complete an instance or dungeon, /roll and call higher or lower than 50. If you get 50, take 2 shots

Depending on the difficulty of the instance, or quality of your groups gear, you may want to adjust the drinking penalties. Also, if things are going too slow, feel free to add /roll games to the mix to spice things up and drink more!

PvP:
World of Warcraft Arena Drinking Games can be a ton of fun, especially if you're lanning with your partners (We used to play 3s every Tuesday night during college). In arena, you're strongly encouraged to drink based on your composition, as some comps will obviously have longer games than others. Personally, playing triple DPS and drinking after each game (win or lose) while blasting music was by far the most fun!

If you're looking for a Rated Battleground Drinking Game or just chilling and playing some Random BGs, drink when the following occurs:

  • You die with 5+ seconds left on the resurrection timer
  • Capture the Flag Maps: When the other team captures the flag
  • Node Holding Maps: For every 400 points the other team earns
  • Alterac Valley & Isle of Conquest: For every 50 reinforcement lost
  • Defend Objective Maps: Each time you're pushed back (losing a gate or equivalent)
  • (1) Shot: If you Win, and had the least damage or healing done out of your group
  • (1) Shot: If you Lose

As usual, /roll games are encouraged while waiting in que, OR make a mini World of Warcraft Duel Drinking Game, where the loser of each duel drinks!

As always, please remember to drink responsibly! This alcohol drinking game is not meant to lead to you becoming sick due to over-consumption of alcohol. Need a sober ride?
