Equipment

Setup

Setup the garbage cans in standard beer pong pyramid format: 1 in the front row, 2 in the second row, and 3 in the back row. Decide which team will shoot first (eye to eye could take a while), and let them start with both volleyballs. Don't forget to fill your drinks beforehand!

Rules

Volleybeer follows standard Pong rules and is best played outdoors. The game proceeds in turn based fashion, where a turn consists of volleying the balls towards (and into) the opposing teams rack of garbage cans, and you drink for each of your garbage cans that is made. Each player on a team gets 1 shot per turn. The game ends when one team makes a shot into all of the opposing team's garbage cans. There are also some special rules:

Roll Backs

Roll backs are allowed, where if both players from a team make their shots then the balls are returned and they re-shoot.

Bounces

Bounces are allowed, and if they go in they count as 2 - but they can be swatted.
You are allowed to catch regular shots that ricochet off the top of the garbage cans after they make contact

Redemption

Each team is allowed one re-rack per game. Teams automatically get redemption regardless of if their opponent re-racks or not - this is to speed up games by encouraging re-racking, so that games end faster (It's a social game!).

As always, please remember to drink responsibly! This alcohol drinking game is not meant to lead to you becoming sick due to over-consumption of alcohol. Need a sober ride?
