Summary

Stump is an outdoor drinking game where participants take turns catching a hammer and then swinging it at another players nail attempting to hit it in the stump

Equipment

• 1 Tree stump, cut about ~4 feet tall
• Hammer
• Box of 3-1/4-Inch Nails

Setup

All players stand around the stump and take 1 nail per person. Gently tap each person's nail slightly into the stump so that it stands upright on its own. Grab the hammer and pick someone to go first.

Rules

The Stump drinking game rules are simple. It's a turn-based game, and only the person with the hammer really does anything - everyone else spectates (turns are short so it doesn't get boring).

When a player's turn begins, they must first choose between flipping the hammer into the air in front of them (1 swing), flipping the hammer under their leg in front of them (2 swings), flipping the hammer behind their back (3 swings) and then catching it. Based on which option they chose, they are awarded that number of swings at other peoples nails in the stump.

If your nail is hit, drink. Once it's flattened, you're out and you must kill your drink.
