The Blind Squirrel drinking game utilizes cards & dice as drinks are assigned based on players ability to guess what card will be pulled & ability to roll dice.
Sit around a table with a deck of cards on hand and Beer and liquor not too far away.
The game starts with one person (dealer) having the whole deck in his/her hands, face down. The dealer then places the first card of the deck on the table, face up. After the first card is in play, the dealer asks the person to his/her right:
The guesser then says the next card will be "low 6", indicating that the next card will be lower in value than a king and the exact value will be a 6. After the guess has been made, the dealer shows the next card. If the guesser incorrectly guessed if the next card would be higher or lower than the previous card in play, then the guesser drinks and it stays the guesser's turn (i.e. guesses the next card). If the guesser correctly guesses that it is higher or lower, the guesser becomes the dealer. If the guesser incorrectly guesses the exact value of the next card, the guesser drinks the number of sips that is the difference between the previous card in play and the newly shown card.
EXAMPLE: If the previous card played is a 10 and the newly shown card is a 6, the guesser would drink 4 sips of his or her beer. If the exact number is correctly guessed, the guesser can distribute the number of sips to anyone at the table. (e.g. 3 sips to one person and 1 sip to another, or 4 sips to one person).
Ties: If guesser incorrectly guesses what the next card will be and it ends up matching the face up card (i.e. 10 is in play and the next card is a 10), the guesser takes a shot. If the guesser correctly guesses that the next card will be a tie, everybody else at the table takes a shot.
The Joker: There are two Jokers in the deck - If the first Joker shows without the guesser saying it is the next card, the guesser rolls a dice twice and drinks the number of sips that is the sum of the two dice rolls. If the guesser correctly guesses the first Joker shows up, the guesser gives that sum of sips to someone at the table (or divides the sum to multiple people). If the SECOND Joker shows without the guesser saying it will show, the guesser shotguns a beer by himself/herself while the rest of the table laughs at how lame it is to do such a social drinking activity alone. If the guesser correctly guesses that the second Joker shows up, everyone at the table shotguns a beer alone, individually.
The Blind Squirrel drinking game ends once the second Joker has been pulled or once the deck is done, depending on how early the second Joker is pulled.
